Gary was born in Los Angeles, California. He worked for 25 years in advertising as a Print and TV art director. Gary and his wife Mary Carter were partners for 12 years in The Black Point Group, a San Francisco-based graphic design firm. Mary has now left the group to pursue her fine art career and the group is down to one person. Gary and Mary now live in Placitas, New Mexico, USA, where Gary currently concentrates on journalism, illustration, Web site design and Web content providing. He is the designer and content provider for the Xara Xone, a must-see Web site devoted to all things related to Xara.
