XPE the classic photo editor

Xara Xtreme includes the integrated Xara Picture Editor, a supremely easy and fast photo editor which offers all the most commonly required photo editing tools. A one click auto-enhancement feature takes the guesswork out of adjusting the brightness, contrast, color saturation and blur/sharpen of your digital photos. Plus XPE offers a red-eye removal tool, and intuitive crop and rotate tools.

This sort of 'photo repair' may account for the majority of your photo work but it could just be the beginning. XPE also supports third party plug-ins, including an enormous range of Adobe Photoshop® plug-ins, which allow you to add numerous effects to your photos, from the subtle and beautiful to the weird and wonderful. And Xtreme's drawing, editing and text tools can all be used, for example for adding a frame or a caption or watermark (see our tutorials) or for more advanced photo composition work.

The basic picture editing operations can be done more quickly and easily than with other editors thanks to an innovative user interface of the Xara Picture Editor. As you manipulate the controls the changes are reflected immediately on the picture - no OK buttons required.
