Example backdrop no. 3

This backdrop uses a simple bitmap fill in the sidebar. With a bitmap fill, it's much harder to eliminate the tiling pattern - even though this example is 80 pixels high it's visibly tiled. At the right edge of the bitmap three transparent rectangles give a 'rolled-up' effect to separate the bitmap from the backdrop and make the transition look more deliberate. Many different effects are possible, including graduated transparent fades.

You can download the Xara Web file used to create this backdrop (11.7K). If you have the plug-in, the file will be displayed in your browser; right-click over the file and use 'Save Graphic as...' to save it to disc from the plug-in.
