Inspirational Art : Lions

This month we were intending to have an 'animals' theme to our Inspirational Art, but we never got past these two superb lions. Two different artists and two very different styles, but we hope you'll agree equally inspirational in their own way.

The first drawing is from Russian artist Valery Kouleshov. Regulars will know that we have featured Valery's amazing photo realistic work before, including the January 08 Outsider and July 07 Inspirational Art and October 06 edition which give more information on his technique.

In this image Valery has used the Alien Skin fur plug in (part of the Alien Skin Eye Candy 4000 Collection) for the fur texture.

And the second very different image is from Brazilian designer Newton Florentino whose work we haven't featured before. You can see more of his work on his website.
